Whisky,
Wilderness, water and wide constantly changing skies. It is no wonder Islay regularly appears at the top of must visit Scottish Island lists.
For an authentic Islay experience try staying in one of the crofters cottages refurbished as holiday accommodation. We stayed at Quaint Quirky Hebrides home courtesy of Eric on Airbnb. It's hard to beat sipping whisky in front of a real fire whilst the wind whistles round the chimney pots and the rain beats on the window.
Please note we visited in December, I imagine the weather is better in the summer.
