Buller Pass

Buller Pass is a challenging and beautiful 13km hike that starts at the west end of the Buller Mountain day use parking lot. It is an out-and-back route (unless you choose to hike through to Ribbon Falls) with steady elevation gain for the first few hours through thick forest that quickly leads to an open, rocky section and a massive head wall. Once you overcome the head wall, though, you will be rewarded with the most stunning panoramic views down onto Ribbon Lake. This is a very popular day hike in the summer months, so you will definitely see other people, but as always, carry bear spray. Good hiking boots are recommended as the final section of this hike is very steep and there are lots of loose rocks.

Buller Pass è una camminata 13 km impegnativo e bello che inizia alla fine ovest del giorno uso molto Buller Mountain parcheggio. Si tratta di un percorso fuori-e-indietro (a meno che non si sceglie di camminare fino alla Ribbon Falls) con dislivello costante per le prime ore attraverso fitta foresta che porta rapidamente a una sezione di roccia aperto e un muro testa massiccia. Una volta a superare il muro testa, però, sarete ricompensati con le più belle viste panoramiche verso il basso sul nastro Lake. Si tratta di un"escursione di un giorno molto popolare nei mesi estivi, in modo che sarà sicuramente vedere altre persone, ma come sempre, portare a spruzzo orso. Le buone scarpe da trekking sono raccomandati come la sezione finale di questa escursione è molto ripida e ci sono un sacco di rocce sciolte.
